Where is DERP Now?
Dark Equilibrium has been through a lot of builds and has experienced a lot of issues and mistakes over the past year. As we approach DERPS’ second year, we are still not open. It has been a learning process, and we are grateful that our supporters have stuck by us despite the many challenges that have prevented our release, from bad builds to full server failures and data loss. But this build will be the one. We are taking it slow and building brick by brick, using the knowledge we’ve gained from our previous mistakes to produce a product we can be proud of.
All Systems Required for the city's primary functions are all in the server and configured
The Mechanic and Dealership scripts are configured and setup according - Many are configured to operate still when there are no mechanics online for the first few months of city operation
The Police and Medic Systems are currently in progress - Many of the systems have received substantial updates and stability changes as well as some custom features to create a compatibility layer with other scripts within the city
This is present but not limited to things such as insurance, invoicing and records
Food that can be purchased from 24/7 has been updated to fall in line with player made food - this leaves it so NPC food will prevent you from dying in a pinch but will not be as beneficial as obtaining food from a business
Player owned businesses have also been reworked, Businesses that fall under the Food category will receive many methods to host events outside of their businesses not limited to portable Card Machines and food trucks - this will be explored more after city launch.
Criminal Activities will remain mostly the same with the standard house robberies - store robberies - Heists ect
But we do plan to look into more Criminal activities that are not strictly point and click money grabs are provide more interactivity and story woven into the city
Gang Activities and groups as well as their applications are being worked on - Gangs will receive the ability to be more involved in things such as Drug heists and production but this has yet to be confirmed on specifics and profitability
Quality of life has always been a priority for us and through a lot of mistakes we've grown to understand what works and what little features can make things a little easier on not only the new players but experienced players too
This will encompass most things that are not integral to the main role-play experience and will gradually evolve and be worked on well past the release date to ensure we are able to privde people with the experience they deserve
